In the first part of “What the Bible Left Out About Women and Men” I spoke about some of the historical roots of violence against women and the subsequent silencing of women’s voices. And how when you grow up as a woman in a culture where the “silence of the mother” is prevelant, it can be difficult to speak up and out for yourself and others. Yet, the world we’ve created through not challenging “the sins of the father and the silences of the mother” is a world which struggles with rampant violence against women and it’s humanity as a world.
Join me for Part Two of “What the Bible Left Out About Women and Men” as I share ideas and exercises for discovering where “the silence of the mother” has affected your life as a woman and your relationships with men. And how you can begin to change how your mother’s silence impacted you and your own voice as a woman. For what you will see, you can heal. And what you choose to give voice to has the power to change your life and the world.
